Gorgeous Red Sea in China

Every autumn the regional wetlands in northeast China turned into a vivid crimson beaches and colorful Red Sea named (Red Beach).



Red Sea is located in the Liaohe River delta , about 30 km southwest of Panjin City , China . The reason it is so called because of its appearance , caused by a type of seaweed grow in saline alkali soil . This weeds begin to grow and develop during April or May and remains green throughout the summer . But in autumn , this weed to switch to a brilliant red , which looks like the beach is covered with a red carpet indefinitely , creating a spectacle of extraordinary and rare . Red Sea is a nature reserve and only a small area was opened to welcome tourists to visit .

Besides the splendid appearance , the Red Sea is also known for the number of migratory birds are relatively large . There are over 236 species of birds are found here , in that there are a number of species at risk of extinction as the crane tip and black billed gulls , ...

how to

- By train : There are seven trains from Beijing to Panjin every day , so to get to the Red Sea , then travel by train is the easiest method . With the fast train , visitors can take less than 3.5 hours and 5-6 hours if you go by slow boat . Once we get to Panjin , visitors can take a bus or taxi to the beach area . - By bus : Panjin have at least 2 long-distance bus routes run from Beijing , Tianjin and some other neighboring cities .
