Besides the Potala Palace in Tibet, the Himalayas there are many works equally magnificent and one of them is the Leh Palace.

Forming part of the Himalayas, Leh city (now in the state of Jammu and Kashmir) served as royal Sengge center until they fall apart and disappeared in 1834. One of the architectural buildings located at the highest place in the world Le Palace also abandoned it. Nowadays people often refer to this land as a primary Tibet.

In the early years of the 17th century , the king of Ladakh 's Namgyal Sengge had built a huge palace . At first you will see works closely resembling the Potala Palace in Tibet - where the Dalai Lama lived until 1959. But size is not as big as the Palace Leh Palace in Tibet but still quite large when compared with the carrying out of the works .

With 9 floors , where the highest court of the palace is the area reserved for the royal family and those who come to appear Namgyal . The lower floor is used to store furniture , living room and food for the horses of the army .

Although most of the palace was abandoned but a few places are still used as offices for the archaeological Agency India - Archaeological Survey of India ( ASI ) . Many people still hope this will help restore the works or at least retain the original architecture . Currently only the 4th floor area was requisitioned and embellished with Dukhar temple , where the deity Tara church nearby.

Agency ASI palace is considered one of the most important architectural buildings in the conservation of their plans . The work helps archaeologists and researchers understand more about technology and construction methods of the Himalayan tribes . Besides that is the very useful information about the history and culture of Ladakh .

Many parts of the palace are slowly damaged over time . The restoration is consuming task for many years , plus money graffiti scrawled by visitors archaeologists do more headaches .

Inside, the architectural characteristics such as narrow hallways , small rooms , low ceilings extends each sequence . Abandoned 200 years makes for precious belongings in the palace has taken away the bare frame . It's hard to imagine it 's been a safe place for the kingship of power for hundreds of years

Those who love history and ancient works are often so excited to Leh palace first. Spiritual atmosphere, with a little old by the time the dust cover. Other destinations filled with tourists, Leh Palace is a little known treasure and deserves to be one of the wonders of the Indian peoples as well as the foot of the legendary Himalayas.
